General Summary:

The Unum Client Manager (CM) is a technical expert in Unum's products, services and capabilities, and understands the business issues and challenges affecting our customers. The position is responsible for driving strategic customer development, management, and retention. This is a customer-focused and market-facing position; the Client Manager works closely with brokers, customers and enrollment firms to educate, influence and implement effective employee communication and enrollment strategies that yield optimal participation results, and contribute to Unum's profitable growth. The Client Manager is an essential contributor to Unum's field office core market team. The CM works closely with Unum Sales and Marketing Consultants to identify, evaluate and facilitate marketing opportunities with inforce Unum customers. The Client Manager position is a leveraged compensation role. Total compensation consists of a bi-weekly base salary plus incentive compensation. Earning levels will vary by individual, team and overall office results. The compensation package also includes a comprehensive employee benefit package. The training for the Client Manager position is delivered through a combination of self-directed online learning, classroom training, and on-the-job learning--generally over the course of three to four months. Additionally, a new Client Manager will receive a mentor for the first 12 months of development.
